The Home Renovation Summit by Nine Yards Consulting is a three-day crash course in how to plan, manage and build your own home.

If you’re a regular reader of The Design Files, then you clearly have an interest in curating an excellent space of your own. After years of scrolling inspo shots and reading about how other people built their dream homes – it’s time to put all that accumulated knowledge into practise!

The Home Renovation Summit from Nine Yards Consulting is a three-day free online course on how to plan, manage and execute your own renovation project. Led by Nine Yards founder Jen Jones, the summit consists of talks, workshops and interviews with leading designers and suppliers from Australia and New Zealand, such as Clare Le Roy from The Little Design Corner, Jason and Kate from Concrete Nation, and Georgia Ezra from Studio Ezra and Tiles of Ezra.

These industry professionals will provide expert advice across 27 seminars, covering topics from kitchen, bathroom and lighting design, to building great relationships with your contractors. The event opens with a seminar on project management from Nine Yards founder Jen, whose renovation consultancy business was setup to help renovation rookies achieve their dream home goals on-time, stress-free, and without budget blowouts.

The summit is designed to cover all aspects of the renovation process, from design through to decoration. As well as tips and tricks, you’ll hear from suppliers of tiles, paint, decorative wall coatings, fixtures and fittings. Day three of the event wraps up with interviews from founder of fair trade rug company Nodi Rugs, and homewares store A&C Home run by former The Block NZ winner Alex Walls!
